A client sent me this great review, “so that others can benefit from your professionalism, caring, and excellent attitude as they seek to deal in real estate.” Thanks!
No Freak Outs Here
We found Stephanie through an online listing of a property that we considered interesting. As lots of her clients have noted, she responded promptly to our initial contact and, after learning more about the kind of home we were interested in finding, immediately identified several other houses for us to tour. In addition, she set us up with automatic updates of listings, so that we could review potential properties at our convenience.
When we found our dream home just a few days later, we loved the combination of professionalism and enthusiasm she showed. She reminded us to ask all the smart questions, but she also laughed with us about just how wonderful the home was.
This was the fun and easy part. We kept thinking, “Can buying a new house really be this easy?” But Stephanie kept us updated and informed, and it felt great. Until, of course, a week before our closing, when the mortgage lender threw up some new conditions, forcing us to delay the close, put all our belongings on a truck for a week, and scramble to find housing. I told my husband that during this time, the only one able to calm me down was Stephanie. My favorite of her comments, when I called her yet again in a panic, was, “Elisabeth, I’ll tell you when it’s time to freak out. It’s not time to freak out yet.”
And she was right. But having a calm, friendly, professional voice—available at all hours of the day—telling me how to proceed, taking care of dealing with the sellers, and coordinating all the additional details was invaluable. We never meant to make her job difficult, but the mortgage lender forced us to do so, and she handled it with grace, calmness, and great humor.
As much as we liked and appreciated Stephanie during the sales process, we especially love how careful she has been to check in on us after we moved in to the home. We had a little trouble with the sellers actually removing all their property, and together with the seller’s Realtor, Stephanie made sure that ultimately, our home was ours, uncluttered by leftover junk. Once again, it was her voice on the phone, assuring me that everything would get taken care of, that helped me get through the stressful days of moving.
She’ll be among the first ones we invite when we finally get unpacked and ready to host an “open the house” party. In the minutes before the party starts, when I get nervous that we don’t have enough food or that no one will come (like I always do), I think I’ll call her to have her remind me, once again, that it isn’t time to freak out yet.
